The Wings for Wildcats program allow K-Staters with private plane access the ability to help K-State head coaches and staff recruit the best student-athletes to K-State. As college athletics continues to change it's important that our head coaches and programs have the ability to use private planes to be efficient in assessing athletic talent across the United States.
Donors who participate in the Wings for Wildcats program will earn gift-in-kind donor credit for use of their plane. The gift-in-kind credit will be based on the cost to operate the plane, fuel for the plane, and cost for the pilots. The gift-in-kind credit will be applied to your annual donor benefit level within the Ahearn Fund and donors will be receipted for the gift-in-kind credit to review with your tax advisor on possible tax benefits.
Use of planes by K-State Athletics staff are required to meet the attached mandatory requirements.
