PRIORITY POINTS
The Ahearn Fund priority point system was created to reward loyalty for all season ticket holders and Ahearn Fund members. It is designed to provide a fair and transparent method for determining season ticket and parking placement, as well as distribution of tickets for high-demand events.
HOW PRIORITY POINTS WORK
Specific point values are assigned to certain giving types and season ticket purchases. Your point values from each category will be combined to create your priority point total and rank. Rank is defined as your point total within all active Ahearn Fund members. Your priority point total will increase annually based on the criteria below:
- 4 POINTS per $100 of consecutive year giving to Ahearn Excellence and capital projects (beginning 2023 - previously 3 priority points since 2010)
- 3 POINTS per $100 consecutive year giving to priority seating since 2010
- 2 POINTS per $100 of consecutive year giving to restricted funds or endowments since 2010
- 2 POINTS per $100 of consecutive giving from 1999-2009
- 1 POINT per season ticket
BONUS PRIORITY POINTS
- Earn 25 bonus priority points by renewing your 2026-27 Ahearn Fund membership in full or committing to a monthly payment plan by December 31, 2025.
- 1 POINT for each football bowl ticket that is preordered through K-State!
PRIORITY POINT LOCK DATES
- NOVEMBER 21 - Priority points lock for post-season football tickets
- DECEMBER 31 - Priority points lock for post-season basketball tickets

CALCULATING YOUR PRIORITY POINTS
You can access your ranking and a breakdown of your priority points by logging into your online Ahearn Fund account. In addition, a priority points calculator is available to calculate new priority point totals or rankings based on a new ranking or making an additional contribution.
The calculator is based on three options:
- What would my points and rank be if I donated a certain amount?
- How much do I need to donate to reach a certain ranking?
- How much do I need to donate to have a certain number of points?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is loyalty rewarded using the priority points system?
The Ahearn Fund priority point system was implemented to reward loyalty for all season tickets and Ahearn Fund members. Because priority points accumulate over a lifetime of giving rather than starting over each year; loyalty and consecutive years of giving will play a bigger role in your priority ranking.
What are ways to accumulate priority points?
Any annual fund (i.e. priority seating, Ahearn Excellence) gift or gift to a capital project will earn 3 priority points per $100, while restricted and endowment giving earn 2 priority points per $100. Season tickets earn 1 priority point per season ticket.
Can I lose priority points?
The priority point system rewards loyalty for consecutive years of giving, or purchasing season tickets. Priority points reset to zero if a donor fails to renew their membership or purchase season tickets in consecutive years. To keep your priority points active, simply maintain a $50 Ahearn Fund membership annually.
Can my priority points be transferred to someone else?
No. Priority points and lifetime giving can not be transferred, unless to a spouse. No other immediate family members, friends, or businesses will qualify for a transfer of priority points or lifetime giving.
Is there somewhere I can calculate my priority points or tell me what they would be when I make my next gift?
You can access your ranking and a breakdown of your priority points by logging into your online Ahearn Fund account. In addition, a priority points calculator is available to calculate new priority point totals or rankings based on a new ranking or making an additional contribution.
Is there an incentive to renew my membership by December 31 of each year?
Yes. Members who renew in full or commit to a monthly payment plan by December 31 of each membership year will receive 25 bonus priority points. Bonus points will be added to your account following December 31. In addition, donors may receive an end-of-calendar year tax-incentive for giving to philanthropic funds.
