The K-State Athletics Priority Point system was created to more equitably serve Ahearn Fund members. Priority Point rank helps determine season ticket placement and the distribution of tickets to high-demand events such as bowl games, Big 12 Championships and NCAA Tournaments. Additionally, Priority Point ranking is used for parking and seating upgrades for season tickets and other special events.

It was certainly an exciting 2012 season in Bill Snyder Family Stadium, culminating with a second Big 12 Championship and a trip to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl! As the Wildcats wrapped up another tremendous year and first 11-win season since 2003, members of the Ahearn Fund were able to request tickets to potential bowl destinations for the Wildcats. Once the Fiesta Bowl committee announced K-State was to play in the 42nd annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Classic at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the Ahearn Fund and ticket office staff cooperatively contacted those individuals who had requested tickets, as quickly as possible.
In an effort to accommodate the record number of fans who pre-ordered tickets through the K-State Athletic Ticket Office, K-State Athletics worked with the Fiesta Bowl and the University of Oregon to secure additional seats. In total, K-State fans purchased over 22,000 tickets from the K-State Athletic Ticket Office and many more secured tickets through additional outlets.
Those Ahearn Fund members with the highest Priority Point totals as of November 30, 2012 were the first to be assigned seats. Additionally, higher ranked members were assigned tickets in the premium seat locations of the University of Phoenix Stadium, however all K-State fans who pre-ordered tickets through the K-State Athletic Ticket Office did receive tickets.
Of the members that requested tickets to the Fiesta Bowl, those with more than 2,620 Priority Points were seated in club seats of the stadium. Ahearn Fund members with points ranging from 565 to 2,100 were seated in the lower-level (non-club, lower bowl sideline seats) of the stadium. All Ahearn Fund members who requested tickets prior to the November 30 deadline were seated in K-State's allotment. Any non-members who requested tickets after the deadline did not receive tickets through K-State's allotment.
